How do i connect my surround sound system to my ps3 (Logitech X-240)?
For starters i have a tv that is like 20 years old maybe older, I have to have the coax from the tv go into an adapter that has 1 RCA Input and 1 RCA output (Line Out) I've tried to connect it like this.
PS3 > Red/White RCA to the "Y" cord (there is like 3 colors [Black,Orange,Lime Green])
My current setup for my ps3 is as follows:
PS3 and Tv > Adapter > Power Cord/Wall Outlet
Which doesn't have my surround system on it, i play war games and i really want my sub and my 4 speakers to work. My step-dad has a Home Theater system and his works, but my surround system is specifically designed for gaming consoles.

All you do is plug the PS3's RCA Audio cable(s) to the sound input on your Logitech receiver or controller or wherever it accepts sound inputs. Your TV really has nothing to do with this. It appears that your Logitech system only has 3.5 mm input, so you'll need a female RCA to male 3.5 mm adapter to connect the two devices if that's the case. I have no idea what that other interface is that is included to connect to game consoles, but if that accepts RCA, then you won't have to buy anything extra.
And if it matters, its only gonna be simulated surround sound, not true surround sound (which can only be achieved with a digital connection like Toslink Optical or HDMI).
