What guitar pick is best for an acoustic?

I'm pretty much a beginner, but I've been playing for a while now on my acoustic and have been using Fender medium picks. Although, I want to get new ones to experience with the sound. I'm interested in the Dunlop Tortex standard round picks because I've heard good things about them. What thickness would be best to try? I don't want as thick as the medium I have now, but I don't want them to be flimsy either. Which do you think is the best: .50mm, .60mm, or .73mm?

To each his own.Everybody has their own touch on the guitar. Some attack the strings hard , others strum softly , and everything in between. The best thing to do is to try a bunch of different picks until you find what works best for you. Get as many different shapes, sizes and types of material as you can find and give each one an honest try. Personally, on acoustic i use a light nylon pick for strumming , a Fender heavy for lead playing , and sometimes just my fingers depending on the song.
But like i said , use what works best for you.
