TomTom Go 750 vs. Garmin nuvi 1490T?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a Sat Nav for my new car. I've never used Sat Nav before, but I'm quite tech aware. Just wondering if anybody has used/compared these two models before and what are the pros and cons in relation to each other?

I like the idea of lane assist, bluetooth handsfree, automatic recalculation of you route and viewing your route before you set out.

Also I'll be using the units predominately in Ireland, so if anyone has experience of one map system being better than the other, shout!
